The Art of Letting Go

Last year was a year of transformation for me. It was a biggie. Uncomfortable. Challenging. Overwhelming.

It was the year that changed everything. The year I got grounded and comfortable in my skin.

Throughout my year of transformation, one of the most valuable acts of self care I learned to do was:

We All Start Somewhere – How To Embrace Your NOW

Hello Lovelies!

For me, this blog is an expression of a desire to lead a more sustainable, balanced lifestyle. It’s about embracing minimalism and simplicity and prioritizing our health and wellness, as well as the health of the environment and ecosystems around us.

Lofty goal right?

It’s a simple enough idea to sum up in a sentence, but it’s by no means simple in practice. Living a more conscious, intentional lifestyle is hard work! Seriously! It takes effort to learn about supply chains and how to buy better. It takes time and energy to declutter. Moving away from processed foods means developing cooking skills and new shopping habits… none of that just happens on its own.

So how do you deal with the inevitable frustration or overwhelm that comes with making changes to your lifestyle?

Introvert Ideal Part 2 – It’s Time to Thrive

You wanna fly you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.

– Toni Morrison

I LOVE being an introvert.

No I’m not crazy.

Seriously, I’m not!

It took me a while to get here, but I can say in complete honesty that I am content with my nature and embrace it completely. I’ve learned how to thrive as an introvert and find new ways to grow every day. It’s an ongoing journey, but it’s worth it to get to a place where I feel right, myself, good, amazing! I honour myself, push my boundaries, test new waters, GROW.

Imma gonna rock this introvert shit!

Introvert Ideal Part 1 – It’s Time to Thrive

Hello Lovely!

Today I want to share with you Part 1 of my Introverted series. This is something I’m really passionate about and it’s also something I’ve struggled with my entire 27 years on this earth.

My dream – to help others to own their introverted nature and thrive in it – not feel how I did growing up.

Research shows that babies destined to be introverts are often far more noisy and animated than wee baby extroverts. That explains a lot, since my dad says I screamed and cried my way through adolescence, and I’m about as introverted as they get!

Growing up I had so many key traits of an introverted personality but didn’t realize they had a name; all I knew was that I was different, awkward and lonely.

So what is an introvert, actually?

Stop the Mad Rush to Nowhere

Society is in a constant, endless RUSH and it is causing exhaustion, anxiety and depression to explode world-wide. But we aren’t meant to live this way! Our bodies aren’t meant to be stressed, exhausted and depleted long-term.

Why do I have to let my monkey-mind drag me around left, right, up, down, in circles? It’s exhausting! Making lists, obsessively checking to-do’s, to buys, to think abouts…it’s ENDLESS. I don’t even know if tomorrow will come but I am so engrossed in what it holds that I am not living in my present moment, which is very much real and existing and happening right now.

Stop making lists! Stop making irrelevant to-do’s! Stop putting notes in the calendar!!

So how do we take control of it? How do we calm our shit?
